Bomford helps quell the fire

Two Bomford 81-81 helped in the recent state emergency in California

The two Bomford arm mowers driven by Bomford dealers Powerland to help build fire breaks.

Malcolm from Powerland said “ This was taken on the second day when we had moved up two fire break roads
so we were well ahead of the fires. If you look carefully you might see some of the last of the smoke.
We were so close to the fires the day before that I did not feel like stopping to take pictures!

We still have one water truck supplying water to the engines on Palomar Mountain .

The fires were so extensive that President George Bush to declared a "major
disaster" in southern California after wildfires devastated areas across the state. Nearly one million people had
been forced to leave their homes because of the fires which have destroyed more than 1,600 properties.
The damage to property is expected to cost at least $1bn in San Diego alone, according to officials in the city.
